The opportunity to curate and make your own Woven Brooch!
You will receive up to ten patches of fabric, amounts will vary dependent on the size of the fabrics included. You will also receive either a spool of finer machine thread, embroidery thread or vintage darning thread. Also included within the pack with be a hand-covered Button, Brooch latch pin and a single sewing needle.
Everything you will need to make your own Rosette Brooch. A perfect activity to do with the kids over the summer or an afternoon sewing project just for yourself. An alternative gift for those crafty friends, who will appreciate beautiful fabrics and jazzy Buttons.
No need to feel restricted by the shapes or designs I work with, you could make odd shaped ones, square ones, even feathered Brooches. The floor is yours, be as creative and crazy as you like! You can upscale your Brooches with additional beading or hand embroidery. Or by adding extra Buttons for a more featured centre. Random bundles of Hand-covered Buttons are available under Buttons on the website for £10.00.
For a neater finish you can cut out a small circle and glue over the back of the Brooch Latch. This helps to cover the stitching and add a more professional finish, your friends won’t even know you’ve made it yourself!
Fabrics included within the Brooch kits are vintage printed, Velvets, Corduroy, Antique woven and Mays Woven fabrics.
You are welcome to leave me a note at the checkout if you have any special requests in terms of colours, materials and buttons. However this depend on the stock available at the time, repeat colours and sizes are unlikely - but you can only ask!
Make your own Woven Brooch Kit!
Although I strive for perfection in each and every piece, each piece is made and finished by my very own hands, as such slight irregularities may be present. These will be identified within the images. These pieces are not made in a factory or mill, they are hand-woven and hand-crafted in a very yellow little studio in Cambridgeshire.
Alas nobody's perfect!
