A wonderful Scatter Cushion, hand-made with quirky hand-woven fabric.
A beautiful Woven one - off, Scatter Cushion inspired by fields of lavender and thistle. Woven with an array of beautiful bands running from top to bottom through a classic Herringbone. There is an incredible amount of detail and variety of colour within this weave. The velvet panelled front helps to showcase the woven fabric. The Lavender Cushions are filled with a natural Duck Feather insert, paired with a beautiful vintage green velvet and 14 mm hand-covered buttons, see pictures for more detail. Each Cushion has an envelope opening and closure for easy access and removal.
No two pieces will ever be made the same. Each piece is constructed by hand-picking each element, using genuine vintage and retro fabrics and threads.

Hand-woven Lavender Thistle Scatter Cushion 2
The Sandringham Lavender Collection is inspired by the beautiful fields of lavender growing across Norfolk. For this project I explored the depth of colour found within these plants, the tonal variation and patterns within the fields. I then combined this with the classic and timeless Herringbone weave pattern for a beautiful collection of pieces.
This project works with a variety of different Wools including Shetland and Swadale and English wool. This beautiful fabric experiments with a series of different bands running from top to bottom, working with different weights and densities of colour.
