Hand-woven Sedimentary Tissue Pouch
This collection was inspired by the formation of caves, focusing on compression and corrosion. The areas of pressure and density that are then worn away over time, this release of momentum, how the movement of the ocean and the tide takes away and forms something new. The warp consisted on Silk Steels, Horsehair Steel, Cotton, Linen and Copper wire. This collection was designed and woven as apart of a series of small scale soft sculptures, meant to be formed and re-formed to fit the environment or display location.
