Hourly Private Tuition Home Visit

Service Description

Rosie-may will travel to you to help you get started with Hand-weaving. This is available on an hourly basis, I will advise the number of hours required depending on the requests made in the enquiry. This type of session is only suitable for clients with some of their own equipment, ie Table Loom or Floor Loom who are keen to have a go at Weaving themselves. This is best for those who have the base equipment, who are interested in learning more about the mechanics and set up of their own Loom. Additionally, Rosie-may is able to troubleshoot and fix problems. If you're starting a project and are having some trouble understanding a part of the process or for example, parts of the Loom seem to be not working or absent in some cases with second hand equipment. This will be done on a case by case basis. With over 7 years of experience using Table Looms, Floor Looms and Dobby Looms, I can also help with warping and tie-ups on a case by case basis. Reference books, further reading suggestions and various helpful websites are available upon request. Rosie-may can suggest the best places to source both brand new and second-hand Weaving equipment. She can offer advice on pricing or viable options for pre-loved purchases. Some equipment including Ashford Warping frame, Warping mill, Bobbin winder, Threading Hook, Reed Hook, Bobbins and Shuttles etc are available to hire for the session hours. Yarn cones can also be purchased prior to the session if you require a certain material or yarn count. I am prepared to travel within a radius of 40 miles of Stilton, Cambridgeshire. If you live further away, I am happy to help via email and telephone for a small fee.  Just send me the details of the problem, with images if possible and I will do my best to help you get weaving.    £25 per hour (includes travelling time) plus 45p per mile.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 3 weeks before the course starts. Partial refund may be available depending on circumstances up to 2 week before course starts.
